Description
‘Thia’ lives with 26 cats & kittens & many dogs-one of 3 siblings Collie & Shepherd mix ‘Thia’ sister to ‘Pluto’ & ‘Luna’ would never have survived were it not for human compassion -their mother was pregnant with them when a concerned Bulgarian neighbour alerted a kind couple that she was destined for a chain after she had conceived. Her fate along with her babies would have been a true life horror -it would chill you to the bone. 17 months later, enjoying the company of their 26 feline friends, abundance of canine pals, going on walks off & on lead, enjoying time indoors & being more house proud than Aggie- we can say this was a definite salvation. A more ideal situation still would be an experienced owner who understands that a dog has the same right as a human to get to know people at their pace & to respond according to their emotional makeup when their choices are taken away &/or they feel under threat. Thia for example barked at the strange man called a vet.If a pooch whether U.K. pedigree or European rescue gives a warning growl at a vets &/or with people they don’t know- it is the owner who is not phased by this & has the knowledge to read it who will be the right one for this dog. A bark is a communication- how else do they convey their feelings & needs? Her caution round humans should be expected. It’s not that every dog will give a healthy warning noise- it’s that we shouldn’t be surprised or alarmed if they do. Ours is “GO AWAY”. A tea cup chihuahua with the same MO as Thia would benefit from the exact same experience in an adopter so this should put it into perspective. Please also read her rescuers notes at the end. This beautiful collie & Shepherd mix has a stunning nature enjoying the company of kittens and cats all around her & other large dogs including bitches. She is a pussy cat with her pack. As Thia is content where she is we ask for only committed & dedicated enquiries.
