Bruce is nearly 2 years old- he is such a lovely happy dog but unfortunately we can not provide the care and attention he truly deserves, he needs a lot of walking, he is full of energy, he could really do with 2 x 1 hour walks a day or at least 1 good hour and big garden to play in. He needs brushing daily due to his curly coat and needs professional grooming which can be pricey every 8 weeks. I’ve not had any health issues so far with Bruce, he is up to date with all vaccinations and flea and worm treatment.
Bruce has always slept in a xl crate at night and will settle lovely about 8pm then I let him out around 7 am, he does have free roam through out the day.
Bruce is amazing with other dogs we have 3 frenchies and he loves them and just wants to play all day, we also have 3 children and he is very good with them he does jump up but never has he hurt them or bite them.
When out walking Bruce does tend to pull on the lead but I use a slip lead and this does control him, he absolutely loves being off the lead and running free playing with squirrels dogs rabbits ect his re call is great when I have some food with me he is very food orientated but If he sees a dog before you re call him he tends to not listen then.
Bruce Is very flighty he can open doors so we do have to have locks on doors and he is full of energy constantly he also does bark a lot, he tends to bark and anything in the garden he sees or wants to play with he is corrected and then this behaviour does stop.
Bruce would love to go to a home with children or other dogs and he would benifit from having a large garden when he can run and/or someone who loves walking who will comit to talking him on lots of adventures, he needs and loves lots of care and attention, please research this breed before committing.
He is such a lovely boy and I am very sad to have to put him up for adoption but I am not giving him the walks he needs, we have a smal yard of a garden and with us both working full time it is impossible to fit the walks he needs in.
